Revelstoke Mountain Resort will be opening one week early thanks to heavy snowfall that has dropped almost two metres of snow on Mt. Mackenzie so far this season.
The resort announced a sneak peek weekend on November 26 and 27 after receiving 193 centimetres of snow as of Wednesday afternoon and a base depth of 88.8 centimetres according to the new automated snow plot located at the top of the Ripper Chair.
For the weekend, the Stoke and Ripper chairs will both be open. The gondola will start running at 8:30 a.m. and last chair on the Stoke will be at 3 p.m.
